README: ChordPrism 2.1 Common Mistakes Made While Setting Up

You can disregard this information if you use ChordPrism in GarageBand or Pro Tools. If you use either of these DAWs, make sure to follow the Setup tutorials for each at www.chordprism.com/setup

ChordPrism downloads in four formats. AU Instrument, AU MIDI FX, VST, and AAX.

The AAX version is exclusive to Pro Tools and will not appear in other DAWs. The AU Instrument version is only meant to be used in GarageBand, but it will still appear in every DAW’s plugins list as ‘Chord Prism (Instrument).’

You should only use the ‘Chord Prism (Instrument)’ plugin if you are in GarageBand. Otherwise, you need to use the ‘Chord Prism’ VST plugin that will appear in your plugins list.

If you are specifically using Logic Pro, all you need to do is add Chord Prism into the MIDI Effects chain of the Software Instrument track that contains the instrument you want to receive MIDI from ChordPrism.
